This early 20th century Trinity Plate dance
purse is a rare find. The frame is set with green
faceted stones, matched by additional stones on the cap of
the tassel. It is unusual to find the original tassel
on one of these purses. Even more unusual are the
petit point inserts surrounded by gold filigree. I've
never seen different but clearly matching panels on one of
these purses before. Additional green glass stones in the
chain. Silk lining with pockets on the inside has been
professionally replaced using the original shattered lining
as a pattern
to restore the interior to its original condition. Marked
"Trinity Plate" on interior of frame. Measures 3" wide by
4" tall. 8 1/2" with tassel. Chain adds another
8".
