This is an unusual art deco Mandalian Mesh
Purse. Shiny gold, with butterfly inset in orange,
black, yellow and brown. An example of this Mandalian
on a silver background can be found on page 143 of
Whiting & Davis Purses - The Perfect Mesh by Leslie Pina and Donald-Brian Johnson. All the chain
fringe is
there at the bottom, there is no "armpit" loss, and all the enameling is bright with no
chipping. No lining. Marked "Mandalian Mfg Co." on
inside of frame. 7" high, 3 3/8" wide. Chain
adds another 5".
