Essential Jewelry and Beadwork Books:

Beading with Cabochons: Simple Techniques for Beautiful Jewelry
by Jamie Cloud Eakin

The only current, comprehensive guide to working with cabochons--a flat piece of rock or mineral--and it covers all the basics, along with a range of new creative techniques and hot trends.  Though I use a different technique for beading cabochons, this is a great book for inspiration.

Beads and Braids
by Jacqui Carey

The book for anyone who wants to combine Kumihimo braiding and beads.  The diagrams are easy to follow.

Bead Crochet Ropes
by
Judith Bertoglio-Griffin

There are several good books on making bead crochet ropes, but this is one of my favorites.  Someday I'm going to make the lariat on the cover!

  Textures: Art In Silver

This is the website of my metal clay teacher, Hadar Jacobson.  In it you will find some of the most innovative and fabulous fine silver (metal clay) jewelry.  If you ever have a chance to take a class with Hadar jump at the chance.

  ILLUSION Glass Works

Handmade Dichroic glass jewelry.  Patricia Tyser Carberry's beaded jewelry featuring her handmade dichroic glass is a must see.

Ornament Covers

Designer Laura Jansen's "Beadecked Ornament" books are fabulous.  If you are new to making beaded ornaments start with the "Simplicity" pattern in Book One.  The patterns in Books 2 through 4 are more complex, but well worth the effort.

Six beaded ornament cover books by designer Karen DeSousa, as well as ornament and jewelry kits and kumihimo discs and instructions.
