#98 - Whiting and Davis Vanity Mesh Purse

An outstanding vanity mesh purse.  These bags were all the rage at the beginning of the twentieth century.  Mirror inside top is intact as is its pristine lining, which is very unusual to find in good condition.  Little amethyst colored stone in clasp.  Frame is not marked but tarnishes so it is likely silverplated.  Engraved design in frame. Every piece of the armor mesh is there and attached.  Little tag in lining says "Whiting and Davis."  In excellent condition and very wearable.  Measures 3 1/4" wide by 7" long.  Handle adds another 4 inches.
